This 2-day training course for all staff explores the principles for implementing the Nurturing Programme approach, promotes the development of social and emotional learning and offers guidance on leading Circle Time.

Our Early Years training meets the requirements of the EYFS Statutory Framework for personal, social and emotional development
Learning Outcomes
​
On completion of this course, staff will be able to:
​

help ensure their settings are calm, kind, respectful communities
-
support the learning goals of the EYFS, develop children’s self-confidence and self-awareness, help them to manage their feelings and behaviour and to form positive relationships with adults and other children
-
encourage an environment in which staff stresses are reduced and children feel emotionally safe, able to learn and fulfil their potential
-
bring a whole-setting approach to understanding children’s feelings and the behaviour that follows
-
offer effective techniques for managing challenging behaviour through a consistent, positive approach to discipline
-
provide a structured 10-week Children’s Programme, repeated each term, explored in Circle Time and other related activities

Course Overview & Cost

This practical and interactive course explores how Early Years and primary school settings can create an emotionally healthy learning environment. Strategies are explored and practised by working through examples from daily life in school.
